Sibarit The consortium was founded in 1989 on the initiative of the Cooperative horticultural Sibaritide with the aim of coordinating the actions of individual members in order to organize, focus, enhance and commercialize, in national and international agricultural production coming from associated companies.
In 1992, at the Cooperative members, are created by technical Sibarit two offices, one and one citrus fruit and vegetables, home of the respective Technical Assistance Services, in order to control the production process in the country through the introduction and spread in all member companies, the integrated production techniques.
The characterization of the mission Sibarit synthesized in a cultural orientation aimed at environmental sustainability.
To date, the social structure is composed of 10 members and 369 associate producers.
The total area subtended amounted to 2,857 Ha.
